Instrument Reflection
The instrument project was one of my favorite projects in Physics. For this project we got to pick any sort of instrument and build it with your partner. My partner and I wanted to make and instrument that we didn't really know how it worked and that not any other group had pieced yet. This instrument happened to be a Harmonica. Neither Ande or I knew specifically how a harmonica worked so we brought one in from home and took it apart. Then we found the key components that make the harmonic sound the a Harmonica make. After we had an idea of how the instrument worked we started to cut out the pieces with the Dremel. But since all instruments take perfection to be able to make a sound cutting out this instrument with not a perfection tool was a challenge and our home made harmonica didn't make any sound but we learned a lot about sound
Rube Goldberg Reflection
- What is going according to plan? What is not going well? In our Rube many things are going well, we have used many marbles in our 1st layer of our Rube which we had in our blueprint. Also many of the other steps in our Rube are going to plan. These things are steps such as the car and marble track. But, one thing that we need to get is dominos because they play a big role in our Rube and we don't have any.2.What are you going to do to ensure that by Jan. 30th you are done? My group will work hard all of this week and try to finish. If we don't we will take it home and work on it over the weekend. What 6 steps will do do calculations for, and how will you do them? One step we will calculate is the m.a. Of the pulleys in our Rube. Another will be the levers we will need to use a force gauge to see how much force we will need to lift something. These are to only two steps I can think of that we will measure. I guess another thing to work on will me incorporate more steps that we can measure.

Rocket Project
In Physics we just finished one of my favorite projects that we have done this year. This project was making plastic bottle rockets, near the end of the projects these rockets would be launched with water and pressurized air a as propellant and a homemade launch pad that Mr. Heerschap constructed. For this project we had to make a rocket log that told what progress we made on our rockets. I believe that my rocket would of been successful with a different main chamber that would of been made out of a plastic bottle not a protein shake container. Also a week before the launching of our rockets i had to go out of town because of family health issues. This left all of the pressure on my partner to get our rocket set. Our rocket was unsuccessful.
Describtion of other Projects
We have done many fun projects in Physics, I think that I have enjoyed all of them. Heerschap makes all of the projects fun and hands on learning. One of my other favorites was the "Cat food can" lab. A quick description of this project is you had to roll a marble on a track off a table and into a small can without hitting the floor.

Above is my Whirly Bird lab write up. In this lab we made Whirly Birds and tested if the amount to paperclips on the whirly bird made a different in the rotation of the Bird.

Above is my Otawalla vs. Monster lab. In this lab we tested if you were better after drinking Monster or Otawalla and would before the multiplication test better.
